I’m Rolf Wessman, founder of Wessman Computer Services. I started my career in electronics in the 1970s, designing and manufacturing burglar alarms and industrial control systems. In 1991 in Santa Rosa, California, I started Wessman Computer Services, a computer and business consulting company that helps the owners and officers of small and medium-sized companies, such as yours, with the challenges of automating their businesses.

I quickly saw that the complexity of the challenges in this rapidly changing industry were such that my clients ran the risk of paying for problems that were not their fault, such as buggy software, substandard hardware, and poor compatibility between them. My goal became to develop an internal tracking system that kept us on top of anything that might go wrong. I wanted my clients’ systems to function properly and reliably and I never want to give a client a bill that he is not expecting, in other words I never want a client to want to look for another IT provider.

During our fifteen years in this business, we have developed systems for tracking and documenting computer and network events and issues. This proprietary system provides my staff with updated solutions to problems encountered by my clients and by the industry at large. With this systematic, full-circle approach Wessman Computer Services is able to track and record solutions to problems as they occur, to recognize patterns of failure and down-time, and provide our clients with rapid, up-to-date, experienced support for those same problems when, and even before, they actually occur and cause losses.

This powerful system is an integral part of our Service Agreement and Virtual IT Department offerings, and is a small part of what sets us apart from all those other “computer companies.”
